BODONY (“we”, “us”) is an independent entertainment magazine run by Engjell Hasula from Tirana, Albania, at bodonymagazine.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what your rights are.
What we collect and why
Comments
When you comment, we collect your name, email address, website (if you add one), IP address and browser details. This helps us detect spam. Your comment and name are public; your email is never shown. An anonymized version of your email may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you have a profile picture.
Membership and subscriptions
If you become a member, we store your name, email address and account details to give you access to members-only content. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider, and we never see or store your full card details.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address to send you updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
Contact and interview forms
When you contact us or submit information through a form, we collect what you enter, such as your name, email, bio, links and photos. We use this only to respond to you and, if you’re being featured, to prepare your interview.
Analytics
We use analytics tools (Jetpack Stats and Google Analytics through our Insights plugin) to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from. This data is used in aggregate, not to identify you.
Cookies
The site uses cookies to keep you logged in, remember your comment details if you choose, and measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work properly.
Embedded content
Articles may include embedded content, such as videos or Instagram posts. These behave as if you visited the other website, which may collect data about you.
Who we share your data with
We don’t sell your data. It is only handled by services that help run the site: our hosting provider (Hostinger), email delivery services, analytics providers, our payment provider, and backup storage. Automated spam checks may also review comments.
How long we keep it
Comments and their details are kept indefinitely so follow-up comments can be approved automatically. Member and newsletter data is kept until you cancel or ask us to delete it. Form submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond or complete a feature.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. This doesn’t include data we must keep for legal, administrative or security reasons. To make a request, email engjellhasula7@gmail.com.
Children
BODONY is not directed at children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site grows. The date at the top shows the latest version.
